There are a gazillions of Pinoys who have mobile phones. You type a cellphone number randomly, and maybe it would ring. You send a message to any number and more likely, someone you don’t know might receive it.
Hence, the modus operandi of some of our kababayans.
I received this message awhile ago:
” Hi musta na kau jan? May pa2dala me jan package saka pera, eto na nga pla ang roaming # ko, nacra kc ung dati ko, kaya nagpalit na ko,miz ko n kau”
It’s an unregistered number in my phonebook. And since I know, this is a hoax, I replied:
” Kelan ka pa nag-abroad? Akala ko mamalengke ka lang. Sige, padala mo na yang iniilusyon mong package.”
I have not heard from him again..Hahaha.. Natakot siguro ang manloloko. I was hoping he would answer because I’d ask him to have his ‘padala’ brought to the precint.
If you have a relative working abroad, the message would seem legit and unknowingly you might fall in their ‘ bitag’. They usually ask for load to be able to give the details of their padala. If you give in, then you won’t hear from them again.
Some people are rude–taking advantage of others.. Sana karmahin sila sa mga kataran**duhan nila..
So, you’ve been warned.
